PHP Variable

Hi.

I don't have many skills in PHP and we have a site that was working until March of this year.

I don't understand why this ever work because i don't know how they pass a variable value.

In one page (say page1.php) i have something like this:

<a href="page2.php?txtid=2" target="_self">

in page2.php

I only have:

$txtid=$txtid;

No post, no get, only this.
Now when i verify in page2.php the value of $txtid is blank. But, as i said, until March this was working.
