terraform apply error while creating EC2 node on AWS

Postby ramverma » Wed Feb 07, 2018 7:46 pm

Getting below error while running terraform apply
deployment-master$ terraform apply

Error: Error applying plan:

1 error(s) occurred:

* aws_security_group.Hadoop_cluster_sc: 1 error(s) occurred:

* aws_security_group.Hadoop_cluster_sc: Error creating Security Group: UnauthorizedOperation: You are not authorized to perform this operation.
status code: 403, request id: 9a11d4fd-613f-48f2-ac1b-1476cd54fe55

Terraform does not automatically rollback in the face of errors.
Instead, your Terraform state file has been partially updated with
any resources that successfully completed. Please address the error
above and apply again to incrementally change your infrastructure.

It is related to access for security group for the specific VPC. Go in Amazon EC2 and check that your user can see the VPC which you are using.

Use the right VPC security group may resolve the issue.
