How to connect Unix and windows clusters

This is for Hadoop eco system like HDFS, Map reduce, Hive, Hbase, Pig, sqoop,sqoop2, Avro, solr, hcatalog, impala, Oozie, Zoo Keeper and Hadoop distribution like Cloudera, Hortonwork etc.

How to connect Unix and windows clusters

I setup a cluster with 4 Unix machines (Cloudera Hadoop distribution) and similarly having a cluster on windows (using cygwin and used apache). Now, is it possible to connect Unix cluster with windows cluster?
Can anyone help on this?

Yes you can do it. its called Heterogeneous Clusters. To build it on Hadoop you need to check support of Heterogeneous Clusters for Hadoop.
First you read about Heterogeneous Clusters then try to het same information on Apache, cloudera or hortonwork site.
